The cutest ger in all the land!

I made it to Arvakheer and to the most adorable of all gers. It is a five wall, which was a welcome suprise and it was very hot and cozy when I arrived. I am super happy with it and am extreemly hopeful and optimistic for my winterly survival. More to come later. love, C

Woo hoo! I bet it's just like the tent from Harry Potter when they went to the quidditch world cup! Plus I heard you want to get a cat. Rockin! Remember when fun hater dan wouldn't let us take in that cat we found so we played with it on the deck? cutest thing ever.

I am so excited about your cutest ger in the land.
Do you need a table cloth? Do you need posters of Harry Potter? Elijah Wood? Can one hang posters on the wall of a ger? Do you have warm slippers? A good Ax? Where will you get your wood? Do you have a broom? What is the floor of your ger? Where can you get a bike?
More later.. love your mother...

Right ON! How exciting. I'm so happy for you, to have your own cute space. A sanctuary to weather the storms. I hope you hang up your lamp cover. I think of you every time I look at my matching one, which is every day.
I love you so much, sweet girl.

Hi Caitlin,
It was great talking with you for a few frantic moments Friday morning (our time). I wish I didn't have to rush off to a long boring meeting, but that's life.
I'm not much of an internet expert, but here's what I've deduced in response to your question. You should go into your applications folder and see if you have an "Internet Connect" application. If so, I'm thinking that you must have some kind an internal modem. Of course, you can also check in the Apple menu in the top left of your desktop. Go to "About this Mac" and then click "more info", and see if a modem is listed under the "Network" list. Also, if you have an ethernet port, I'm thinking that you must have a modem in there somewhere!

Once you determine if you have a modem, then I guess you need an internet provider. The internet provider should be able to tell you how to set it all up, but it might be more complicated doing something like that in, say, Mongolia.

Hope this helps! I'm sorry I didn't email, but I can't find your email address on the blog page! Email me at monahand@uncw.edu.

Enjoy the ger. We'll get a package off to your new semi-permanent address by the end of the month.

Lotta love,
Uncle Dave
